Namco launches Splatterhouse mobile with 300 carriers
Namco has revealed it's distributing the mobile version of Splatterhouse – its forthcoming rehash of the 1988 arcade slasher – with more than 300 mobile carriers when it launches on November 18.

Spread across the US and Europe, it's using the mobile (Java, Brew, RIM and Windows Mobile), and iPhone releases, to promote the franchise's revival on Xbox 360 and PS3 five days later.

Carrier choiceCombined with a joint marketing approach, it suggests a level of faith by the publisher in carriers that many of its rivals seem to have abandoned following the rise of thirdparty mobile app stores.

While the iPhone release will come in at $2.99, Namco has revealed pricing of the mobile release will be tackled carrier by carrier.

Operators will be able to pitch the game's price wherever they believe it fits in with their respective marketplaces.
Splatterhouse's launch follows on from Pool Pro Online 3's debut on Android.

Namco's pool simulator offers cross-platform online play with the iPhone, iPad and PC versions, powered by Namco's Unite SDK.
