Nokia has announced it's now looking to launch its flagship Lumia 900 in the UK on 14 May, missing what was perceived as its original target of 27 April.
The new date confirmed in a call with The Verge is due to what's billed as the handset's success in the US, with Nokia claiming demand has "exceeded expectations" to date.
Day of days
As a result, the firm's original guidance of a launch within "the coming weeks" has been passed over retailer Phones 4U, rather than Nokia, having specifically cited a 27 April launch with production on the device still ramping up.
The Finnish firm claims some retailers may receive the handset a few days either side of its official 14 May launch date depending on shipping conditions.
Nokia has also confirmed the handset which will come with HSPA+ connectivity rather than LTE that's available on AT&T in the US will be available in both black and white variants. A launch across Europe will follow shortly after.
