Celebrate mobile's might at the 5th annual Pocket Gamer Awards in San Francisco

Are you heading to GDC in San Francisco later this month? Good news – so are we.

Amongst all the other events we'll be putting on during our stay in the city by the Bay, we'll be throwing a glitzy reception for the annual Pocket Gamer Awards on 17 March.

This is our chance to celebrate the very best in mobile and handheld during the previous 12 months, with 14 categories on offer for the lucky nominees.

Ain't no party like a PG party

Indeed, by that stage, the votes – which are currently being cast – will have been counted, checked and double checked, so the only thing you need to do is show up at Roe on 651 Howard Street and join us for an evening of mobile-focused merriment.

This years event is set to be doubly-special, as once the awards have been handed out, and the winners have finished soaking up the fame, we'll be heading upstairs for the Pocket Gamer St. Patricks Day Party.

So, to make sure you don't miss out, head on over to the event's official Eventbrite page and get your name on the guest list.

Just don't forget to bring your business card to gain entry on the door.

Oh, and don't forget to thank our pals over at Chukong Technologies and Kamcord for putting out posh nibbles and celebratory drinks for all.

What do you call someone who has an unhealthy obsession with video games and Sean Bean? That'd be a 'Chris Kerr'. Chris is one of those deluded souls who actually believes that one day Sean Bean will survive a movie. Poor guy.
