Rovio seeks designers, artists, programmers and producers for its new Stockholm office
Angry Birds developer Rovio is looking to expand its flock, seeking designers, artists, programmers and producers for its new office in Stockholm, Sweden.

In all, the studio is hoping to hire 20-30 staff within the year, and the company has taken to the PocketGamer.biz jobs board to advertise its openings free of charge.

Staffing Stockholm

Rovio's seeking game designers and level designers with at least one year of relevant work experience, and requires candidates with an ability to visualise structural elements and quickly iterate on gameplay elements.

Similarly, Rovio is looking for artists with at least one year of relevant experience, as well as strong 2D skills.

3D skills would also be advantageous, as would some knowledge of the technical aspects of game creation.

Programmers are required too, and Rovio's looking for those with proven C++ skills and experience on published projects. Academic qualifications are a plus as well, and so are research and analytical skills.

Senior posts are also available for those with more than five years of programming experience on published projects and the capability to mentor the company's less experienced coders.

The producers

Those applying for a position as a producer must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, flexibility and a knack for communication and collaboration.

Furthermore, applicants will need to be able to produce both technical and creative documentation, and of course, have experience of making games.

All of the advertised positions start in autumn 2012 and are based in Stockholm.
