PG Connects progresses to the next level: More details revealed

The event that's on everyone's lips at the moment is Pocket Gamer Connects, taking place in London on the 20th - 21st January.

So far we've kept relatively quiet about the specifics of the conference, but that’s going to change starting today.

Over the next few weeks we'll be revealing some of the secrets we've been keeping and why we think PG Connects will be an essential event on the calendar and a smart way to kick start the year.

Asian eye

Whether you're an established business keen to learn the secrets of success in China, Korea and Japan or an ambitious indie startup with dreams of being the next mobile rock star, Pocket Gamer Connects has much to offer.

We already have a stunning line-up of truly world class speakers confirmed for PG Connects, including King's Tommy Palm, Rovio CMO Peter Vesterbacka, Gamevil USA president Kyu Lee, CocoaChina GM Lei Zhang, and Harry Holmwood, CEO of Marvelous AQL.

We'll also be announcing many more speakers in the days ahead.

Whilst these globetrotting superstars will be able to offer advice and experience on different markets, we'll also be getting insight and practical advice from top indie talent.

On board is Biodroid's head of games Richard Flores Santos, Critical Force founder and CEO Veli-Pekka Piirainen, gumi Europe GM Nicolas Godement-Berline and Brainbow co-founder Xavier Louis.

Crowning glory

We have long recognised that it's the indies who are the lifeblood of this industry - not to mention the future Kings, Supercells and Kabams - which is why we're happy to be able to announce that we're dedicating a full two day program of talks, pitch sessions and other activities aimed squarely at small and medium sized developers.

These will run parallel to the Asian-market focus and will be chaired and co-curated by Oscar Clark, evangelist at Everyplay.

We'll announce more details of the indie track and tell you a lot more about our unique pitching competition in the coming week, but if you want to get in on the act on either track then you should bear in mind that our final call for speakers closes shortly next week.

Likewise, our Early Bird ticket offer is ending Friday 15th November at Midnight (UK time), so if you're after a bargain, head on over here to reserve your tickets now via the PG Connects website.

And if you want to join Cocoa China, iDreamSky, Everyplay and Immersion in getting your message (and booth) in front of over 300 targeted industry professionals at the event and thousands more via our supporting channels, then contact Lisa.Bisset [at] steelmedia.co.uk.
