Scoreloop gets funding for mobile social gaming platform
We wrote about Scoreloop earlier this month: it's a mobile social gaming platform that helps developers to include connected features in their games.

It's been launched initially for iPhone developers, offering features like player-to-player challenges, score comparison and profiles, along with a virtual currency system and Facebook connectivity.

It's the work of German firm Scoreloop AG, and the company has just announced it's taken seed investment from Munich VC firm Target Partners to take the technology forward.

"Mobile devices connect people, [and] Scoreloop connects gamers on mobile devices," says Target partner Olaf Jacobi. "The market is huge and growing. Scoreloop’s technology is unique and creates a worldwide networking effect."

Scoreloop says it will bring its platform to other mobile platforms soon, but for now is offering its SDK for free to iPhone developers.
