Codeminion and other devs launch petition to stop removal of App Store products

It's not entirely clear how Apple handles complaints of copyright breach when it comes to App Store products, but it appears the iPhone giant is a little too quick to remove games before investigating.

StoneLoops! of Jurassica was recently removed after the developer of similar title Luxor put in a complaint regarding the similarity of the two games. Apple quickly took StoneLoops down from the App Store, and it has yet to return.

Developer of StoneLoops, Codeminion, has filed its objections over the matter with Apple, but hasn't seen any success in getting its game reinstated - or even opening a channel of discussion with the App Store operator.

It's now teamed up with authors of other applications to build a petition it can take to Apple to convince it to readdress its policy that Codeminion feels is being abused by competitors.

Users and developers alike are being asked to add their name to the Allow Open Competition on the App Store petition.
