King's 'Saga' franchises have become synonymous with success.
Like a monetisation weapon of mass destruction, the Anglo-Swedish has been able to turn a collection of games into cash cows, and, as the likes of Candy Crush Saga, Papa Pear Saga, and Bubble Witch Saga prove, 'Saga' has fast become an umbrella brand that also serves to make any King title feel instantly familiar.
Pyramid Solitaire Saga is the latest King game to be invited under that umbrella, but will it be able to live up to a name that its predecessors have worn so well?
As always, we take a look in this week's Charticle.
Play your cards right
Pyramid Solitaire Saga hasn't found many friends in the US. The game failed to break into the top 100 on both the US iPad and iPhone top grossing chart, only peaking at #114 and #132 respectively.
It did, however, fare slightly better on the US top grossing chart for Google Play, where it managed to clamber into the top 100, peaking at #74.
The good news for King is that Pyramid Solitaire Saga is looking a lot livelier on the European grossing charts.
The game broke into the European top 100 - which looks at Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the UK - on both iPhone and iPad.
Performances on the iPhone have been notably stronger, particularly in Spain, where the game climbed into the top 50, peaking at #42.
It took Pyramid Solitaire Saga a little bit longer to gain momentum in other regions, though it now looks like its fortunes might be about to change.
Over on the European top grossing chart for Google Play, the game has put on its strongest showing yet.
Surging into the top 100, the game has recently managed to make good progress and currently sits inside the top 50 in all 5 major European regions.
Once again, Pyramid Solitaire Saga was taken in early in Spain, though a peak position of #25 in France shows that other countries are prepared to fight for its affections.
