Badland developer Frogmind has soft-launched its first ever game built with free-to-play design in mind called Badland Brawl.
The game is a one-on-one real-time PvP brawler set in the Badland universe. It is currently only available on iOS in Finland.
Players will fire their units out of a singshot on a single-lane battlefield, attempting to damage their opponents' tower. There will also be numerous social features, including clans and an in-game "BadTube" to watch other player's battles.
Small and steady
Badland Brawl is currently being developed by a core team of five developers at Frogmind. The team will continue to balance the game and test the servers before rolling out to more countries in the coming months.
Fellow Finnish developer Supercell acquired 51% of Frogmind back in September 2016 as part of a "long-term partnership". The deal gave Frogmind access to Supercell's expertise in free-to-play, which has likely informed Badland Brawl's design.
