27% of MocoSpace's female gamers over thirty play for more than 3 hours daily

Web-based mobile game portal MocoSpace has been surveying its 25 million-strong user base again.
During December, it contacted over 15,000 gamers, finding that 46 percent said they played more mobile games during 2011 compared to their activity in 2010.
Perhaps unsurprising given MocoSpace is a mobile-only portal, this compared with 26 percent of gamers who said they were now playing more on console and 23 percent playing more on PC.
"The fact that people are gaming on their mobile phones at home, often sitting a few feet away from their controller, shows that mobile is capable of grabbing and holding their interest," said Justin Siegel, MocoSpace's CEO.
"This data makes it clear that mobile is a viable alternative to console and PC gaming."
Spare time
MocoSpace also looked at the duration of mobile gaming sessions, with 27 percent women over thirty saying they spend more than three hours a day

And providing additional context, MocoSpace combined these with data from NPD concerning the breakdown of where people played mobile games.
The oft-mentioned 'on the bus' experience only accounted for 12 percent of play location, with home-based play being the largest segment at 47 percent.

More worrying, 14 percent of people said they played at work with 7 percent combining games with bodily functions in restrooms.
