Playable Theatre Symposium

The IndieCade Playable Theatre Symposium is back! Creators and enthusiasts of live theatre experiences share knowledge, experience, and techniques in the emerging artform of playable theatre!

This year’s Playable Theatre Symposium theme is Crossing Borders, in the broadest possible sense: geography, territory, disciplines, culture, identity, and, of course, the boundaries between performers and audiences…in short any and all borders we are crossing with our work. Speakers will be exploring the many facets of interactive performance—from cultivating communities of play abroad, exploring audience-performer interaction, examining ethical storytelling in this age of misinformation and AI, to broadening both audiences and creators, to celebrating foundational works in the field.
