We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team dedicated to delivering on our critical platform partnership commitments, specifically within the realm of computer graphics. In this role, you will be instrumental in fostering strong relationships with our partners, translating their technical requirements into actionable engineering plans, and ensuring your team delivers cutting-edge graphics features and optimizations on various platforms. What you'll be doing

  • Partnership Deliverables: Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of graphics-related engineering work committed as part of strategic platform partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with Unity's graphics architecture.
  • Communication: Act as a key technical point of contact for external partners, effectively communicating progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Roadmap & Planning: Contribute to the team's roadmap, prioritize tasks, manage backlogs, and ensure efficient resource allocation to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a graphics engineering team in developing robust, high-performance, and maintainable C++ code for core graphics systems, ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration with other teams for platform integration.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in computer graphics engineering, with expert-level proficiency in C++ .
  • 4+ years of experience in an engineering management or team lead role, successfully guiding engineering teams.
  • Solid understanding of rendering pipelines, GPU architecture, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality software on schedule, particularly within the context of external partnerships or client commitments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You might also have

  • Experience working on a commercial game engine or similar large-scale graphics application.
  • Familiarity with Unity's rendering architecture or related systems.
  • Background in real-time rendering for games or other interactive 3D applications.
