PocketGamer.biz MasterClasses
PocketGamer.biz MasterClasses are designed to help enhance your skills and knowledge, by providing a practical deep-dive into specific subjects. We work with the finest industry experts to create professional activities featuring tutorials, lectures, interactive workshops and breakout groups, all accessible from the comfort of your home office.
The sessions are all delivered through Zoom, with learning support tools like Miro, Mural and Google docs for collaborative activities. You can expect to explore a range of key games design topics from economy design and optimisation, to core design fundamentals and product management, to live operations and everything in between.
Unlike the standard “listen and learn” lectures (such as those at our PG Connects conferences), the MasterClass workshop programme is deliberately limited to keep groups smaller and focused, meaning you will have plenty of opportunity to interact with the presenter and your fellow attendees throughout the session. Workshops are designed to be collaborative, practical experiences so be ready to engage with the subject matter individually as well as through group activities, feedback and wider discussion.
Summer 2024 programme

The schedule of three FREE webinars and three paid deep-dive online workshops runs between Wednesday July 24th and Wednesday September 18th, with a library of focused material for each topic. Paid workshop attendees also get on-demand access to videos of the free webinars to watch later.
Each session will share the expertise and best-practice advice from industry veteran Oscar Clark of Fundamentally Games. Since working as the home architect for PlayStation Home, Oscar literally wrote the book on Games As A Service and has run classes for teams of all sizes (AAA to indie) and game accelerators for many organisations. He is a contributing editor for PocketGamer.biz and a speaker, host and moderator for conference events around the world.
