1,600 devs prepare to be beside the seaside for Develop in Brighton

It's the British summer so time to be heading down to Brighton for three days of game-related talks, networking and (probably) rain.
Yes, the Develop in Brighton 2013 conference will be kicking off on Tuesday 9 July with the cutting-edge Evolve day, before those old console dinosaurs get their share of the spotlight for the remaining two days.
The event's eighth cycle expects to see over 1,600 developers attending, while at least one of the 120 speakers has still to complete their talk...
Hopefully those giving the keynotes - with Sony consultant Mark Cerny's PlayStation 4-infused Developing into the Next Generation being the opener - have been more professional.

And outside of the conference, there will also be plenty to do.
Dolby, Microsoft, Sony, Unity, Epic and Valve will be showing their wares in the Expo, or you can check out 10 hot new games in the Develop Conference Indie Showcase.
Nightlife includes the Guardian Pub Quiz on Monday, GamesAid Charity Poker tournament on Tuesday, and the Expo Booth Crawl and Develop Awards on Wednesday.
Oh, and there's also the small matter of a Pocket Gamer Mobile Mixer on Tuesday. RSVP here
