Industry body the Mobile Entertainment Forum has announced that it's accepting entries for this year's Meffys mobile entertainment awards.

They're due to be presented at an event on 23rd June in London, during the MEF's MEM conference. Entries close on 17th April 2009.

The awards include a category for mobile games, won last year by Nokia's N-Gage game Hooked On: Creatures of the Deep.

Companies must pay £300 per submission to enter, which may put off some independent developers - although there's a discount rate of £100 for MEF members, and £200 for certain trade associations.

There are other categories that may be worth a shot for mobile games companies: Technology Innovation; Ad Campaign; Quality of Experience; Mobile First Innovation; and Innovative Business Model.

For full details and entry instructions, check out the official Meffys website.
