2.2.1 firmware update for iPhone released

We took a look at the leaked features of the 2.2.1 software a short while back, and it seems those minimalist predictions were quite on the money.
No significant changes (which isnt unexpected, with this only being a second decimal place update) other than increased stability in the Safari browser, fixed image display issues during the email clients camera roll, and a handful of non-specific bug fixes.
It never hurts to keep your handset up to date, though users with a jailbroken device are probably better off maintaining their liberty rather than fixing these minor upgrades - at least until the DevTeam catch up (probably later today).
The next update is rumoured to be 2.3, which will hopefully deliver a couple of the vital features of the iPhone - copy and paste being a pretty major one for most users.
It should be noted this is an iPhone and iPhone 3G update, and doesnt include the iPod touch.
