7Seas Technologies launches Mobizill mobile games portal

Indian mobile games firm 7Seas Technology has launched its new Mobizill portal in beta.

Actually, it's about more than games: it's got comprehensive social networking and user-generated content features too. The site also sells ringtones, wallpapers, videos, themes and applications alongside games.

The portal is accessible both on the web and on mobiles, and allows users to send unlimited text messages, and have 2GB of virtual locker space to store their content.

"Who the carrier is or who is the manufacturer of the mobile and which country it belongs to doesn't matter," says L Maruthi Shankar, MD of 7Seas. "With Mobizill, one can upload, share, publish and access all kinds of content for any mobile."

7Seas is just the latest mobile games firm to get into the Web 2.0 game. Fishlabs recently launched its own community, Gameloft offers the Gameloft Live chat service, and Digital Chocolate is rolling out its Party Island community.
