Analytics site App Annie switches to HTML5 for added iPad support

Analytics firm App Annie has announced it has updated its app tracking service to include iPad as well as iPhone.
Claiming to be the first analytics website to "work fully on the iPad and iPhone", App Annie has revamped its website to use an HTML5-powered solution, since as the company diplomatically puts it - "iPad doesn't support Flash".
Other updates have also been ushered in, included a redesigned dashboard focused on how apps are doing right now, sales reports with more in-depth tabular data, and an expanded national reporting set-up that breaks down sales by countries over time.

It also draws attention to the fact that reports will now be accompanied by percentages that show developers how much their sales have increased or decreased compared to the previous week or month.
"This is just another way to quickly and accurately pinpoint an important statistic, and period comparisons have been added in a way that makes the most sense for iPhone/iPad developers," the company explains on its blog.

The analytics refresh follows a deal with app discovery site FreeAppADay earlier in the week, which will see App Annie lend its statistics to those companies promoting their apps on the website.
