App Annie updates analytics platform for iOS and unveils private beta for Android

Coupled with a fresh look on outside, App Annie has announced a few changes on the inside too, with the company refreshing its approach to analytics in a bid to better serve its audience.
Topping the roster is the unveiling of an entirely new product dubbed App Annie Intelligence, pitched by the company as its premium market intelligence product.
Caring Annie
"We're confident to say that it provides the most advanced and accurate market estimates for app stores available today," adds App Annie, which claims 60 percent of the top 100 iOS publishers utilise its services, coming in at 75,000 apps in total."
In contrast, rival Flurry claims its analytics package is in over 140,000 apps across iOS and Android.
Other updates include a new name for App Care, which will now be referred to as App Annie Analytics; "our products are easy-to-use so our product names should be easy to understand," the company says.
Finally, App Annie is also Android bound, with a private beta available for Google's platform.
Existing users can sign up now, ready for a full launch in early 2012. The firm also claims support for additional platforms is on the way.
