Apple's App Store has raced from 200 million downloads to 300 million downloads in just 45 days, according to adverts placed in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal on Friday.
MocoNews points out that this means iPhone and iPod touch users have been downloading an average of 2.1 million apps a day since the store's launch in July.
Of course, Apple hasn't announced how many have been paid downloads and how many have been free, so we can't work out how much revenue is being generated.
Still, it's a sign of the success of the App Store. Meanwhile, it's now passed the 10,000 applications mark as more and more developers pile in hoping for a profit.
