MCV has picked up on a new position at Apple for Microsoft’s Xbox strategy executive, Richard Taversham.

Taversham has been with Apple’s bitter rival Microsoft for over 15 years as a senior European director, and will now be taking on an ‘education related role’ within Apple Europe.

“A 15-year veteran of Xbox and Microsoft, Richard has been an integral part of the success of Xbox in Europe and in the UK,” Microsoft told MCV. “We thank him for his considerable and valuable contributions to the Xbox business in EMEA during his time with us, and wish him every possible future success.”

Taversham was also on the board of the ISFE, responsible for managing PEGI ratings, though it’s unclear whether he’ll retain this role now he’s moved across to Apple.
