Apple has lost quite a few of its executives to investment firm Elevation Partners, including former CFO Fred Anderson, and now its chief software technology officer Avadis Tevanian has also joined Elevation's ranks.

Tevanian spent ten years within Apple, and was responsible for the groundwork laid in creating the OS X operating system. He joins Elevation as a managing director, where he'll be responsible for uncovering new investment opportunities within the technology sector.

He also joins current Palm CEO Jon Rubinstein (also a former Apple executive), who was installed at the mobile company after Elevation become the largest investor in the one-time PDA giant. At this rate, Elevation will have a staff more than capable of designing and building its own high-tech devices.

Also, Tevanian might be the ideal chap to introduce Rubinstein to the iPhone and give Palm a clue about its stiffest competition.
