Apple unveils games section on its website

Not content with launching its own ad platform and online games network, Apple has also decided to dip its toes into one more field games promotion.
Launching a new game sections on its website with little fanfare, it has to be noted apps on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad are now set to be pushed by Apple outside of the existing App Store set up.
The new portal features previews and interviews each naturally coming with an overly positive tone as well as trailers for the top titles.
Return of the Mac
Significantly though, the games section is currently more focused on Mac OSX gaming than portable output.
The firm has decided to seamlessly integrate its App Store line up with Mac titles available for sale on the Apple Store, no doubt hoping each userbase will be enticed to try out games on the other.

Games have undoubtedly moved up Apple's priority list of late, with studies suggesting its portable line up is stealing valuable market share from both Nintendo DS and PSP.
Though Apple itself hasn't yet got into the publishing game launch title Texas Hold'em the one and only iOS game to bear its name Game Center's debut suggests the firm now considers games a valued part of iOS's appeal.
