Apple's App Store launches in 32 new countries

Expanding the marketplace's footprint even further, Apple has launched its App Store in 32 new countries, including DR Congo, Ukraine, Mozambique, and Malawi.

The App Store is now available in a total of 155 countries, fulfilling the promise made by Apple CEO Tim Cook during his WWDC 2012 keynote.

The list

It's a move that helps extend the reach of a store that already boasts more than 400 million users.

In all, Apple has paid out a total of more than $5 billion to App Store developers, off the back of 30 billion apps downloads to date.

The 32 countries added to the App Store's roster include:

Albania, Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cape Verde, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Fiji, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Liberia, Malawi, Mauritania, Federated States of Micronesia, Mongolia, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Palau, Papua New Guinea, São Tomé and Príncipe, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Swaziland, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Zimbabwe.
