Artificial Life reveals $6.2m of revenues for Q4 2008

Artificial Life might not be seen as one of the bigger names in the mobile games world, but it's just reported some impressive numbers for Q4 and full-year 2008.
For Q4, the publisher posted revenues of $6.2 million - double the $3.1 million it generated in Q4 2007. The company reported net income for the quarter of $1.9 million - down from $2.2 million in Q4 2007.
For the full-year 2008, Artificial Life says it generated revenues of $22.4 million - up 287 per cent from 2007's $5.8 million. The company's net income for 2008 was $10.6 million - a whopping 945 per cent rise year-on-year.
It should be stressed that mobile games aren't the whole story here - Artificial Life says games accounted for 57 per cent of its 2008 revenues (so around $12.8 million).
However, it sold more than ten million mobile games during the year, with its most popular titles including V-girl, V-boy and Chips Unlimited: Texas Hold'em.
The games must have been going fairly cheap, of course: $12.8 million of revenues from ten million game sales tells its own story.
