Belatedly Chillingo begins Android push with Spider Jack, Contre Jour, and Roll in the Hole

Macclesfield-based publisher Chillingo has traditionally made its name on iOS - the likes of Angry Birds and Cut the Rope cementing its position as a major force on the platform, even before its multi-million buyout by EA.
It's not really got to grips with other mobile platforms, however, at least until now; announcing seven games are coming to Android Market in paid and ad-supported free versions.
Alive with Five
Adding to The Wars, which launched at the start of 2011, Chillingo has unleashed Spider Jack by MaxNick and Mobirate's Office Gamebox in paid and lite version on the marketplace.
It's a move co-GM Chris Byatte believes is a reflection of the growing important Google's platform is gaining in the gaming sector.
"Android's install base is steadily rising and we are working with our talented indie developers to bring fun, entertaining titles to this expanding platform," said Byatte.
Following on will be Contre Jour from Mokus, Roll in the Hole by Eccentricity Games, Kylinworks Interactive's Little Lost Chick, My Vampire Boyfriend from Oscar Mike Games and Parking Mania, also by Mobirate.
No specific launch date has been given, with the five games simply labelled 'coming soon'.
