British breakout: GameDevUK unveils plans for nationwide events

Having began life as an attempt to link up developers working across the north-west of England, organisers behind GameDevNorth have announced plans to take the events movement nationwide.
In truth, events running under the GameDev brand had already started popping up around the UK, but the group now branded GameDevUK has just lifted the lid on its next batch of networking parties following its decision to branch out.
First up, a bash in Birmingham this weekend.
Big on Britain
GameDev Rezzed will compliment the first day of Rezzed's PC and indie games show in Britain's second city, with tickets retailing at £3.98 apparently "selling out fast".
"The whole GameDevUK team has collaborated on a fantastic party on the 22 June after the first day of Rezzed," details the event speel.
"We'll be hosting a night of drinks, games and socialising in the Sugar Suite from 7pm."

Organiser Ben Milnes speaks at event in Leeds
Other upcoming events include a party back in the north west in Liverpool on 29 June, and another bash across the Pennines in Leeds on 6 July.
Further updates on all future events can be found via one of the body's three Twitter accounts GameDevNorth, GameDevLeeds and GameDevMidlands.
