Can Thomas Was Alone find friends on the App Store?

A lonely place
Can Thomas Was Alone find friends on the App Store?

What happens when you take an indie sensation and give it freedom to roam on the mobile market?

That's the question posed by the recent iPad release of Thomas Was Alone, which is currently available on the App Store for $8.99.

It's only been on the market for 10 days, but we want to know what headway, if any, the game has made on the charts.

Finding friends

In the US, Thomas Was Alone managed to make its way into the top 20 on the iPad download charts, where it peaked at #19.

It's visit was brief, however, with the game quickly dropping out of the top 20, and eventually the top 100, just 9 days after release.

Those strong early downloads couldn't push Thomas Was Alone into the top 100 on the US iPad top grossing chart, with the game falling just short, peaking at #115.

On the European download chart for iPad - which looks at France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK - Thomas Was Alone has found a companion in the form of the UK.

Out of the 5 European countries the chart looks at, the game only managed to break into the top 100 in the UK, where it broke into the top 10, peaking at #7.

Unlike in the US, success on the UK download charts did manage to give Thomas Was Alone a boost on the grossing charts.

The game managed to climb into the top 100, peaking at #41, and holding firm for 7 days before eventually dropping out of the top 100.
