Car Phone Warehouse to launch branded app store

Online, on-device application stores are rapidly becoming an indispensable platform for any publisher, manufacturer or mobile retailer, with the Car Phone Warehouse being the latest to get in on the digital distribution action.
Consumers have spoken and it is clear that they want easy access to the web and apps on their mobile phones, says SnappLife developer HipLogics Mark Anderson.
Through SnappLife, the Car Phone Warehouse will offer games and applications for a variety of different platforms, beginning with Symbian and moving on to Windows Mobile shortly after.
The app store will download and install as an application itself on compatible handsets, then run as a virtual environment allowing access to the online digital store.
SnappLife follows the recent trends set by the likes of O2, Nokia and Vodafone.
