Channel 4 currently boasts a £50 million pot for development of online public services, and it's surprisingly up front about its policy to take risks and bet on failures in the name of public innovation.
And with the announcement of the 3.0 iPhone software, Channel 4 has put aside £100,000 to aid UK developers looking to specifically leverage the new opportunities presented by the forthcoming firmware update.
Up to £30,000 per application is possible, with special attention going toward software that leans toward Channel 4s public purpose.
The closing date for applications is April 16th, so theres not much time to get your applications submitted. For just the right app, however, this could prove to be a step on just the right ladder.
