Come mix it up with Pocket Gamer in San Francisco

We know what you're thinking. It only seems like a matter of days since we last raised the flag on our next Mobile Mixer, headed for Helsinki on 23 April.

That's because it was only a few days ago.

Yet, here we are again, pushing another Mixer or gathering of the industry's finest for a bit of healthy debate, if you want a more flavoursome description at you, this time in sunny San Francisco a week later on 30 April.

Best practice

The idea is rather similar, with some of Pocket Gamer publisher Steel Media's finest hunkering down with big stars from Chillingo, DeNA, Game Insight and Cocoa China to "share best practices over sponsored cocktails and gourmet treats."

Topics on offer include whether publishers are still needed, why the industry should care about Apple's action against discovery platform AppGratis, the mobile development scene in China, Japan, Korea and Russia, and whether the business of paid installs is rigged against indies.

Speaking during the Mixer will be EA Chillingo's business development manager for the Americas, Levi Buchanan, DeNA's senior director of third party Barry Dorf, Game Insight's Darya Trushkina who serves as VP of business development and CocoaChina's US GM Lei Zhang.
