App stores are the best way for mobile developers to make money these days, so it's perfectly understandable that software products have flooded onto the official on-device portals to reach the consumer. Portals like the Windows Mobile Marketplace.

But the money apparently isn't flooding into Microsoft's answer to the iPhone App Store. Or more accurately, it apparently isn't flowing out of it.

A report on IntoMobile says that developers aren't being passed their 70 per cent revenue share, even after it's made the prerequisite $200 needed to begin the transfer.

Apparently, some sellers have been waiting for a payout since last October, with thousands of dollars locked away in Microsoft's supposedly friendly developers' ecosystem. With Windows Mobile 7 on the horizon, Microsoft has picked a bad time to stymie the profits of WinMo software developers.
