Mobile payments firm Dialogue Communications has launched its Payforit Single Click Payments technology in the UK, enabling companies selling mobile content on their WAP sites to let consumers pay with, yes, a single click.

The tool will require customers to opt-in from the store they're buying from. Once they've done that, future purchases from that store will only require a click.

The feature sits within the Payforit mobile payments scheme, which was designed to increase trust among consumers buying mobile content off-portal. Dialogue is the first payments provider to go live with Single Click.

"Single click purchases are widely available on the web, on sites such as Amazon and iTunes, so it is natural that mobile internet services should develop in line with this," says MD Guiom Peersman.

"The single click option will not only improve the user's experience of Payforit, but due to the reduced number of clicks required to make a purchase, higher conversion rates should be achieved, creating increased revenues."

Several mobile games publishers are already using Payforit to sell from their WAP sites in the UK, as well as numerous mobile content portals - for example, I-play was Dialogue's first Payforit customer back in January 2007.

Expect to see a number of games firms take up the Single Click option in the coming months.
