Cobra Mobile has been nominated for a Scottish BAFTA 2011 award owing to the success of tower defense release iBomber Defense.

Launched on iOS and latterly the Mac App Store and Steam Cobra Mobile MD Mark Ettle said the game had proved to be a flagship for the studio, even before its BAFTA nomination.

Bomb's away

"It's always an honour to get an award nomination for any product you've created and a BAFTA nomination is one of the best," he said.

"iBomber Defense has been a massive critical and financial success for Cobra Mobile. The game has also become a gateway product and opened up all new hardware and software distribution platforms for the company to explore."

Two new entries in the iBomber series are due to arrive this January.
