EA, Gameloft, Namco Bandai and Big Fish drop App Store prices for US Labor Day

Hardly a global celebration, nevertheless, it seems publishers need little excuse to discount their games and US Labor Day provides one such opportunity.
Hence the likes of Gameloft, EA, Namco Bandai and Big Fish have slashed some of their App Store and Android Market prices until the end of Monday.
Gameloft has 8 iPhone and 5 iPad games, including Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard, Shadow Guardian, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and Avatar down to 99c, while all its Android titles are priced 99c.
EA has 18 iPhone and 20 iPad titles at 99c, including FIFA 11, Tiger Woods 12 and Dead Space, while Namco Bandai has 9 Android games discounted to around $1.49, plus 14 iPad and 24 iPhone titles priced 50 percent or more off.
It's all gotta go
Casual publisher Big Fish has two 99c sales for its entire iOS catalog of over 40 games each year; one of which is Labor Day. However, the situation is a little different in this case as all its games are free to download, with the full version being unlocked via an in-app purchase.
Still, considering they're usually priced $4.99 for iPhone and $6.99 for iPad, that's quite a discount.
Other companies joining in the fun include Sega discounting its Sonic games, Capcom discounting Resident Evil 4, and EA-owned Firemint pushing the HD versions of Real Racing and Flight Control for $1.99.
Still, it's interesting to note that at time of writing, the games at the top of the US iPhone paid chart were Spy Mouse, Angry Birds Seasons and Jetpack Joyride, two of which are new releases.
