eBay auction for iPhone application fails to meet reserve

We were fascinated to hear about developer Rod Cambridge, whose forthcoming sabbatical from maintaining his iPhone application Top-Tens prompted him to put the software, websites and associated collateral up for auction on eBay.
Despite early bidding being quite fierce, with over 70 bids placed and taking the amount up to £5000, the auction apparently topped out around 12 hours before finishing.
It managed to bring in one last bid, taking the closing amount up to £5100, which failed to meet the undisclosed reserve place on the user-generated list organising application.
The Top-Tens application is still for sale on the App Store, and in many ways it seems a shame that the reserve was apparently too high - this would have been quite an interesting experiment for the iPhone development community.
