Zeemote reveals launch plan for JS1 controller

Zeemote reveals launch plan for JS1 controller

Developers and publishers have been flocking to support the soon-to-launch Zeemote JS1 Bluetooth controller, with Zeemote signing up the likes of Gameloft, Glu, Digital Chocolate, Sega and I-Play in recent weeks.

Now the company has revealed the first market and handset partner for the controller, in an interview with Mobile Games Blog.

In it, Zeemote's Jim Adams confirms that the device will go on sale next week in the Netherlands, bundled with Sony Ericsson's W760i handset.

Well, kind of bundled. It seems purchasers will have to redeem a free voucher to claim their JS1 an extra step which could reduce the number of people who actually get their hands on one.

Meanwhile, Adams confirms that Zeemote is doing its utmost to squeeze down the file-size of its API, to ensure developers don't have any concerns about incorporating it into their mobile games.
