Forum.Nokia confirmed as first keynote for AppCon 2010

Organisers behind the first International App Conference, due to take place in Dundee this November, have revealed that Forum.Nokia is the event's first confirmed keynote speaker.
Nokia's developer focused arm will draw attendee's focus towards the future of app development, and the challenges facing studios across multiple marketplaces in the years to come.
Powerful player
"Nokia has sometimes been overlooked in the rapid evolution of the applications markets and slew of new consumer devices," said AppCon project manager Andy Mackenzie.
"Yet the company still has a colossal global user base and a huge amount of experience in the mobile market. Forum.Nokia is the company's programme to support and encourage developers to create their apps for the Ovi store and is perfectly aligned with what the AppConference aims to achieve.
"We're thrilled to welcome such a high profile partner to the programme."
Speaker city
The announcement follows the initial mass unveiling of several session speakers due to appear at AppCon, which will run at Discovery Point home of the RSS Discovery from November 8-10.
Notable contributors revealed included Cobra Mobile MD Mark Ettle and Finblade head and IOMO founder John Chasey.
Tickets for AppCon, now available for £125, can be picked up from the event's official website. You can also find out more information via AppCon's Twitter account.
