French dev Million Victories secures almost $40m in funding from Haveli Investments

French mobile games developer Million Victories has completed a funding round raising almost $40 million, to be used in expanding operations and global presence.

The funding was secured from Haveli Investments, which will partner with Million Victories to focus on recruiting talent and accelerating investment in production, marketing and user acquisition. Key markets will include the United States, France, Germany and the UK.

Million Victories has also expressed interest in expanding in "high-potential" Asian markets like South Korea and Japan.

Expansion strategy

The French developer’s funding has followed significant growth since its founding in 2017 - doubling revenue annually. The studio’s flagship mobile game, 4X strategy title Million Lords: World Conquest, has officially reached four million downloads and 100,000 monthly players.

Now, Million Victories will look to double its workforce by 2027, including hiring for key positions like a game director, live ops director, growth lead, CTO and senior UA managers.
