FunPlus launches new cross-platform publishing label Kingsglory with debut game Aniimo

New FunPlus publishing label Kingsglory will launches its first title next year in the shape of free-to-play cross-platform open-world ARPG Aniimo.

Developed by Pawprint Studio, Aniimo is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, mobile and PC, with a closed beta test for the latter to commence this summer. 

The title represents Kingsglory’s first game, with the publishing label set to focus on investing in studios building cross-platform IP.

New experiences

Aniimo is described as a creature-catching game where players collect and merge with magical creatures to explore landscapes and solve mysteries. 

Key features of Aniimo include capturing and upgrading of magical creatures, an open world called Idyll with a “Twining” mechanic that merges players with their Aniimo to unlock new abilities, perspectives, and gameplay options. 

“Like every other player, the Aniimo team has always believed that one day, there will be a game that exists that makes all our dreams come true," said Pawprint Studio executive producer Jovi Zhang. “Instead of waiting any longer, we created it ourselves.
