Game Center currently capped at 500 friends

There's been plenty of comment about Apple's new social gaming network Game Center, which launched last week.

One interesting quirk that's been picked up by iPhone hacker MuscleNerd is that the service is currently limited to 500 friends.

"So much for my not-so-secret plan to break GameCenter! They're capping my friend count at 500 (as soon as I delete 1, I get 1 new request)," MuscleNerd tweeted.

Of course, this won't be a huge issue for most people, especially as Apple hasn't yet worked out its issues with Facebook over the use of Facebook Connect.

At present, you can only find your friends using their email addresses or already knowing their Game Center nicknames.
