The organisers of Game Connection Europe 2012 which this year will be setting up shop in Paris from 28-30 November have invited developers to begin submitting games for its Selected Projects program.

Now in its sixth year, the program welcomes games in any stage of development, so long as they're submitted by 21 September.

These submissions will be judged, and a shortlist of 15 Selected Projects is decided by an advisory board that includes representatives from SCEE, Microsoft Studios, Tapjoy and 6waves.

When Game Connection 2012 kicks off, each of the 15 finalists will have five minutes to pitch their project to an audience of publishers, distributors and buyers, with a view to entering discussions with these attendees over the next three days of the conference.

Crowning glory

The advisory board will then crown the "most promising and original" game with the coveted 'Best Project' award.

Previous winners include Mimimi Productions, a German studio that scooped up the prize at Game Connection Europe 2012.

"If you have an unsigned project and need to get in contact with investors, publishers and other developers, then the Selected Projects initiative is simply the best way to do it!" enthused CEO Johannes Roth.

The lines are now open

"Our Selected Projects program is designed to shed light on the most innovative and creative projects that we can find and offers additional exposure to these developers who are constantly pushing the industry forward," explained Game Connection CEO Pierre Carde.

"We are excited to bring Selected Projects to Game Connection Europe once again and look forward to seeing what the newest crop of nominees will present."

Visit the Game Connection website to submit a game for the Selected Projects program, making sure to complete your submission by 21 September.

The 15 finalists will receive a free standard pass for Game Connection Europe 2012, as well as a €700 discount on any exhibitor option.
