We wrote about GameJane on Pocket Gamer back in August in its early beta incarnation, but the service has now gone live officially.

It offers mobile real-money skill gaming, with people playing against each other over the network across 18 games, trying to win virtual credits off each other that can be converted into actual money.

The GameJane application is a thin Java client that dynamically downloads games from a central server, allowing Trust Solutions (the company behind it) to offer updates without players having to re-install the main app.

The startup is based in Sweden, but is targeting players overseas too with an English-language version.

GameJane also offers community features and tournaments, with the ability to watch other people playing. It's pretty unique - there are similarities with C4M's Playtomo service and the just-launched Dojo, but they don't focus on real-money skill gaming.
