Gameloft announces support for 2nd gen Android devices

Gameloft is big enough in the mobile gaming industry to not have to pull its punches when it comes to its hardware support, and at the end of last week finance director Alexandre de Rochefort casually announced that the company sells 400 times as many iPhone games as it does Android.
But a press release put out today suggests Gameloft is feeling a tad sheepish over rabbit punching Google like that, and has reiterated its support for Android in a short and sharp press release.
"The arrival of this new generation of phones will allow the development of High Definition games that make the most of the technological capacity and the speed of execution offered by the new Android phones. Consumers will benefit from a top quality gaming experience," says Gonzague de Vallois, vice-president of publishing at Gameloft.
To be fair, de Rochefort never said Gameloft was dropping support for Android support - he merely pointed out where the money was coming from.
Nevertheless, the French gaming giant evidently wants the world to know that Android is still very much on the company's road map, with this press release serving as a ruler to publicly rap across de Rochefort's coin-counting knuckles.
