Gameloft has announced an expansion of its licensing agreement with Mattel for its UNO card game.

The publisher has already released a multiplayer iPhone version on the App Store, but the new worldwide multi-year deal allows it to take the game to other mobile phones, PS3, PSP, Wii and DS - via the digital stores of those console and handheld devices.

What's more, Gameloft seems to be planning a wider partnership with Mattel, judging by the comments of president Michel Guillemot (pictured).

"This agreement is the first step towards a long and successful relationship between Mattel, one of the world's premier toy companies and Gameloft, the global leader in video game development," he says.

Any wider deal would help Gameloft in its battle against EA Mobile, which has a wide-ranging licensing agreement with Mattel's rival Hasbro.
