Gameloft H1 2010 net profit up 140% to 5.3 million euros

As is the way of the French bourse, Gameloft (GFT.PA) has released more detailed figures for its first six months of 2010 sales originally released on July 29.
These reveal that on sales of 66.6 million ($87 million), the company had an operating profit of 5.8 million (7.4 million). This was up 29 percent year-on-year.
Taking into account other expenses, stock-based compensation, taxes, and interest on its cash pile, Gameloft posted a net profit of 5.3 million ($6.8 million), up 140 percent year-on-year.
It ended the half year with 25.9 million ($33.2 million) in cash, up 9 million ($11.5 million)
Rising trend
In a statement, Gameloft said it had the financial resources necessary to continue its fast growth in terms of revenue and profitability, and gain market share around the world.
It also revealed its Apple App Store sales rose 82 percent during the first six months of 2010. During 2009, its total App Store sales were 17.6 million.
