Gameloft hits the 330 million downloads mark
Clearly not suffering from a post-birthday bash hangover, Gameloft has followed up the unveiling of its new logo by releasing something of a stats-fest.
The publisher is largely regarded to be the second biggest player in the mobile market, and Gameloft claims to have motored on to sales of more than 330 million games in that position since it was first founded ten years ago.
Those sales have been made across 300 titles, available in more than 80 countries and 15 different languages.
Gameloft on the go
As you might expect, the company is positioning such success as the perfect foundation for future sales and growth.
In typical PR form, Gameloft president and founder Michel Guillemot said the firm had always met customer demands for "the best games...at the right price".
He added, "It's this idea that Gameloft was founded upon.
"Our creation team, one of the highest performing in the market, and our worldwide distribution, allow us to keep in step with all of the worlds great technological advances, from the arrival of 3D on cell phones to the emergence of smartphones and now tablets."
All eyes on iPad
Gameloft is now focusing on expanding its position with the digital download arena, citing smartphones, tablets and consoles as the publisher's future.
It concludes, "The company has thus positioned itself this year as one of the first publishers for Apple's App Store with 65 iPhone games launched since July 2008 and 15 games already available on the iPad."
