French mobile publisher Gameloft is to use a newly announced partnership with Orange to push some of its biggest franchises across 22 different countries in Africa and the Middle East.

Series such as Real Football, Assassins Creed, Harry Potter and The Avengers will all be pre-installed on Orange handsets in a try and buy mode, allowing consumers to trial said games before they pick them up.

"Since January 2012, a selection of three Gameloft mobile games have been pre-installed on low-priced smartphones in these initial countries," said Orange in a statement.

"After a successful launch in Ivory Coast, Mauritius, Madagascar and Jordan, this new mobile games offer was also been launched in Egypt on 26 June 2012, and available for 32 million Mobinil customers."

The two parties say more than 300 games will also be made available through a dedicated section of Orange's mobile portal, with the entire operation stretching across Android and Java-based handsets.
