Gameloft has thrown its support behind Google's flagship tablet the Nexus 7  by revealing 10 of its Android titles will be optimised for the Jelly Bean slate.

Eight of those titles are out now, including N.O.V.A. 3 and Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation. Two others The Amazing Spider-Man and Asphalt 7: Heat will be 'releasing soon.'

The Nexus 7, which was unveiled at Google's I/O conference, is expected to start shipping to consumers within the next 2-3 weeks.

Gameloft notes that I/O attendees can see for themselves how the Nexus 7's quad-core Tegra 3 processor handles N.O.V.A. 3 at the conference's developer sandbox.

"As Gameloft seeks to be one of the first publishers to optimise its titles for each new platform, it is with great enthusiasm that we now bring a roster of our biggest hits for the new Nexus 7," explained Baudouin Corman, VP of publishing for the Americas.

"With the new device features, we will not only be present on one of the best digital platforms out there, but we will be able to truly showcase our unique development approach and ingenuity through the high-quality of our games as well."

The ten Gameloft titles that will be optimised for the Nexus 7 are: Asphalt 7: Heat, Dungeon Hunter III, Fantasy Town, Fashion Icon, Men in Black 3, Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation, N.O.V.A. 3 : Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, Oregon Trail: American Settler, Shark Dash, and The Amazing Spider-Man.
