Gameloft to launch 10 Android games

Gameloft is the latest mobile games publisher to announce its intentions to support Google's new Android mobile platform.
The publisher is developing more than ten games for Android, with its first release scheduled to be Bubble Bash, but not until the first quarter of next year.
In the timing, Gameloft is following rival EA Mobile in waiting to release Android games until Google's Android Market store supports paid downloads.
That's not expected to happen until the new year, which is why the likes of Glu Mobile and Namco Networks are having to make their launch Android games free to download.
"The momentum and excitement for the Android has been building for some time," says Michel Guillemot, president and CEO at Gameloft. "We plan to fully support this platform since it provides another great outlet for an enhanced gaming experience for consumers."
